The experiences of IQS Team members acquired in the past years are related to some of the major pipeline projects developed in the world, such as: Since line-pipe online fabrication surveillance and tests, along with corrosion prevention/protection (coating) and weighing (sub-sea pipes) are the most critical aspects to be taken in consideration in any pipeline project, IQS Team has developed a strong reputation in this field of activities. Several thousand Km’s of carbon steel, duplex and clad line-pipes were inspected and certified during their fabrication, assembling, and laying. IQS Team of Welding Specialist and Welding Technicians are familiar with different welding technologies adopted to fabricate line-pipes, such as: SMLS pipes, ERW, mechanically bonded of combined C.S./Duplex or S.S., Longitudinal SAW, Spiral SAW with diameter up to 48” for pipelines and up to 80” for service pipelines, and steel grades up to X80. Over and above being welding experts, most of our inspectors are also NDT qualified/certified, therefore capable to verify the line-pipe fabrication process, from start to finish. Furthermore, inspections performed on coating and surface treatment, are carried out by NACE or FROSIO qualified inspectors, that will verify the entire coating process from surface preparation to adherence tests.
